CIMTRAK now available in Australasia providing cost effective PCI DSS Configuration Assessment and Change Audit

"We are really pleased to be expanding into this region" said Robert Johnson III, Founder and CEO of CIMCOR, leading Configuration Assessment and Change Audit tool.

“CimTrak is squarely in the security space,” Johnson explains. “If someone gets by your firewall and modifies something on your servers, our software instantly detects it, informs you of it, and fixes it, so it adds a ‘self-healing’ capability to your system.” In addition to servers, CimTrak monitors and reports changes to the configurations of such peripherals as routers as well.

CimTrak is currently employed by a lengthy and impressive list of corporations, including brewing giant Anheuser-Busch, energy titan Exxon Mobil, automakers Ford and General Motors, and industrial powers like U.S. Steel. “If you look at our full client list, we have very few customers with less than $50-100 million in annual revenues,” Johnson notes.

Compared to standard anti-virus programs, CimTrak has the advantage of being able to deal with “day zero” attacks, meaning it doesn’t have to wait for an update in order to deal with a freshly released virus.

CimTrak is also better-suited than traditional anti-virus defenses to handle what are called “singularities.” “That’s when some guy wakes up one day and says, ‘I want to hack your system,’” Johnson says.
